But the victim was robbed and at this time that is the only motive. At approximately 12:30 last night authorities received a call that an stabbing victim was at Freeman Neosho Hospital. The man was stabbed eleven to twelve times one block north of the square in an alley behind the Neosho hotel. And he remains in a Joplin hospital listed in stable condition. The Neosho Police Department was able to identify a suspect and arrest him early this morning. Chief McCracken says the suspect is being held in the Newton County Jail until charges are filed. The police are still looking for two other people who may have been involved in the incident. The stabbing victim is in stable condition at a Joplin hospital. According to police the eleven to twelve stab wounds he received are mainly superficial. He did not require any surgerical procedures, just stiches. Reported By: Jennifer Grannan
