A familiar face is honored for being a pioneer in local television. Ksn`s own Carol Parker is the 2003 Pioneer Broadcaster, chosen by Missouri Southern State University. Carol`s husband, Jack, who frequents "Cooking With Carol" was on hand to give her a proper escort onto the stage. Carol accepted the award this morning at a special ceremony in her honor. A montage of video highlights was shown to students and guests during the ceremony. For thirty years, Carol has been entertaining and informing the four states on KSN. Carol says she was surprised and grateful for the recognition. Carol was born and raised in Joplin, and is a graduate of Joplin Junior College. Reported By: Brad Douglas
