School Board Member Charges

An area school board member is facing rape charges. 50-year old Michael Wells Senior of Carthage is facing rape charges from an incident that happened ten years ago. Investigators say the incident happened in September 1993. Wells is accused of forcing a child under the age of 14 to have sexual intercourse. Wells is currently free on 85-hundred dollars bond. Wells is a member of the Carthage School Board and is a former member of the Carthage Police Department. Reported By:Jim Jackson
