Dead Steers

Although the weather has shaped up better than the first of the week, the heavy storms on tuesday are to blame for one family`s misfortune.
Wayne McCutheon and his family lost six steers after lightning struck a tree near where the cows were feeding Tuesday afternoon. McCutheon says the loss totals three-thousand dollars, and reduces the amount of cattle in the rotation for butchering. McCutheon says the loss comes at a time when cattle prices are at their highest. The family has buried all six steers at the site the lightning struck. McCutheon says mother nature can strike at any time, and they`ll move on.
