Updated: January 7, 2009
Area mall workers say a recent evening of giving was a big success. More than 50 non-profit organizations sold tickets as a fundraising activity to kick off the holiday shopping season. The event raised more than 20-thousand dollars for the community. It included holiday entertainment, retail discounts, and lots of prizes from some of the Northpark merchants. Participating groups included the Ronald McDonald house, 4-state vettes, and the American Cancer Society. The Ronald McDonald house helped to welcome santa with the annual tree lighting cermony. Santa will arrive at the Northpark Mall tomorrow morning at 10:00. Reported By: Kelli Baldwin
