Updated: January 7, 2009
A national association gives a financial boost to a local university. The Missouri Dental Association is donating 25-thousand dollars to the dental hygiene program at Missouri Southern State University. The first half of the donation was presented to the MSSU Board of Governors earlier this week. The remaining amount will be donated in January. The dental association hopes the donation encourages more dental hygiene students. The show-me state ranks 48th in the nation of dental hygienists per capita. Reported By:Sheradee Hurst
