Creech Resigning

Residents of an area county will soon be losing their Sheriff. That`s because Cherokee County Sheriff Bob Creech has announced his intentions to step down after the first of the year. Creech was not avaialable for comment today, but Undersheriff Gary Allen confirms that creech will persue a law degree at washburn university in Topeka. Allen says Creech served four years as an officer in Baxter Springs and will have served six years as Cherokee County Sheriff at the time he steps down in early January. Allen says he plans on filing for that post early next year. Reported By: Stuart Price
