The test results are in and one area school district passes with flying colors. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has released the annual performance report for Joplin schools. This time the district gets impressive marks. A minimum of 66 out of 100 points are necessary for a school district to be fully accredited by the State of Missouri. Joplin Schools scored 82 Dr. Simpson says improving students performance has been a major focus over the past two years. Accreditation evaluations are done every five years. The last one revealed Joplin schools needed improvement. Dr. Simpson says they`ll use this momentum to move student performance even higher in the years to come.
