Students at another area school are spreading the christmas cheer to area senior citizens. Students at Jefferson Elementary School are participating in the holiday gatekeeper project. The project is sponsored by the empire district electric company. Students are busy wrapping the items they donated,which will be given to area senior citizens. School leaders say not only does the project help the community, but it`s good for the students too. This afternoon a representative from Empire District Electric Company will pick up the packages from Jefferson Elementary. They will be delivered to area senior citizens during this holiday season.
