A four state teacher is being given a patriotic send-off from faculty and students. Carl Junction teacher Tom Trewyn is a National Guard reservist, and has been called up to service in Iraq. Trewyn teaches video production at Carl Junction High School. Today, Students and faculty attended an assembly where a video was shown full of goodbyes for the teacher. Trewyn will serve overseas as a helicopter test pilot. He says he will miss his friends and family terribly while he is gone. "I think I`m still kinda of shaking and experiencing emotional issues from being in there and the reception by faculty members and the kids. I`m just, I`m overwealmed. I`m absolutely overwealmed,"said Trewyn. Trewyn will leave the country on January 15. He could spend up to a year and a half in Iraq. Reported By: Brad Douglas
