A settlement is reached in a child poisoning lawsuit in northeast Oklahoma. The suit was filed on behalf of seven children from Picher, Oklahoma in January and June of 2002 against eight different mining companies. The plantiffs said the children were poisoned from lead contamination in the Tar Creek Superfund Site. They also allege that the mining companies involved were aware of the health dangers that were present, and they intentionally didn`t tell residents. An attorney in the case says a settlement has been reached, however records in this federal case are sealed.
