Riverton Fire

One person is dead following a suspicious fire in Cherokee County, Kansas. The fire broke out about three o`clock this afernoon at a trailer home in Lowell,Kansas.
Fire crews from Galena, Riverton and Baxter Springs are currently at the scene of the fire. According to a Cherokee County Sheriff`s deputy at least one person is dead and they are searching for more bodies believed to be inside the trailer. Police say the owners of the trailer were not in the home when the fire began,but they believe at least one guest was staying there. The fire is under control at this time,but Sheriff`s deputies believe the cause of the fire to be suspicious. The trailer will be treated as a crime scene until a cause is determined.
