Updated: January 7, 2009
This election year is a time when major political candidates campaign for your vote. And February 3rd, the Preidential Primary election is coming back to the show me state. But what exactly is a primary election? According to Professor of Political Science at Missouri Southern Dr. Tom Simpson, the primary election is not a general election. But in order to vote, you must declare a party when one of three in the state of Missouri - Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian. Dr. Simpson says even though one candidate may be more popular on February 3rd doesn`t mean they`ll still be the top pick later on. Reported By: Ryan Loyd
