Police are looking for the suspect who fired a shot at a Joplin motel after the occupants refuse to open the door. The shooting took place yesterday afternoon at the Best Western Oasis Inn and Suites, on South Rangeline in Joplin. A police spokesman says two women and one man were in the room when two men began beating on their door. The two men identified themselves as police and then FBI officers. Investigators say when the occupants didn`t open the door, one of the men pulled out a handgun and fired one shot into the door. Police say one witness saw two men leaving the motel in a red-over-white 1980`s model Chevrolet suburban. If you have any information on this case, please call the Joplin Police Department at 623-3131. Reported By:Brad Douglas
