Updated: January 7, 2009
It`s election time in the four states and the Jasper County Clerk is preparing for a busy day. Starting at six tomorrow morning election judges will be opening polling places for Missouri`s Presidential primary. Out of the 77-thousand registered voters, Jasper County Clerk, Ron Mosbaugh says he expects much less than half to actually participate. "I`m thinking around 18%, 17 or 18%. Right now I believe there is a lot of voter apathy out there. I`ve talked to some people and they`re like I didn`t even know there was an election tomorrow," The 65 polling places within Jasper County will be open tomorrow from 6 am to 7 pm. There will be three different ballots. One for the ten Democratic Presidential candidates. One for the three Republican candidates. And one for the three Libertarian candidates vying for the office.
