A local charity loses donations in what it is being called a suspicious fire. The fire started just after ten o`clock last night at the Salvation Army building at Fifth and Kentucky in Joplin. Police are investigating but have not released a cause of the fire. However, a Salvation Army spokeman says he believes it was arson. The organization lost an enormous amount of donations in the blaze. Laws says insurance may not cover the loss, because the goods were used. The Salvation Army has set up a temporary facility at Seventh and Kentucky.
