An all night search for a missing Jasper County man leads investigators to Amarillo, Texas. 53-year old Oral Canfield from Rocky Comfort Missouri had been missing from the Flying J truck stop since 7:30 last night. That`s when he placed a call to his wife saying he was in distress and having chest pains. His wife was in Springfield and drove to the Flying J truck stop. When she arrived, she discovered his truck with his cell phone inside, but Canfield was no where to be found. That`s when she contacted authorities. Officers with the Joplin Police Department, Jasper and Newton County Sheriff`s Department and the Missouri Highway Patorl all helped with the search searching by air and land for Canfield.
"The subject we`ve been looking for all night has been located in amarillo texas. Theres` conflicting stories how he got there. Apparently in a truck or motor vehicle. But it has been confirmed they`re calling an ambulance for him now gonna send him for some medical treatment,"said Archie Dunn, Jasper County Sheriff Around 1:30 this afternoon Canfield called his family from Amarillo and told them he was ok. He says he was abducted from the Flying J last night.
