Patriotic Buttons

Updated: January 7, 2009
The next patriotic button you see on a lapel was probably made right her in Joplin. The Joplin Workshops are hard at work making 12 different styles of patriotic buttons. With the tragic events in New York City, the demand is at all time high. The workshop just began producing the buttons last week and are selling them for a dollar a piece. The workers have produced over 5000 buttons and just keep turning them out. Ron Sampson - Exec. Dir. Joplin Workshops "We make buttons all year round, so the folks and people in the community that have bought buttons before and in the past have just called and asked if we`re going to make em for this. We`ve started and its really starting to overwhelm us right now." If you would like to order a button, you can get them at the Joplin Workshops at 501 South School Avenue in Joplin or you can call at 417-781-2862.
