Updated: January 7, 2009
Gary Trulson who is seen here on the right has been named as the replacement for former Fire Chief Bill West. Trulson was one of the final three candidates who applied for the position. Trulson has 24 years of fire fighting service and comes from the city of Yuma Arizona, where he was an Assistant Chief. "We had to go outside the community for the first time in decades to employ someone. We think Gary will continue the high standards that we`ve had in the department in the past. And we think we have a find department. He will continue to work in improving that department,"said Harold McCoy, Interim City Manager. Trulson will begin his new job on April 12, with a starting pay of over 70 thousand dollars. Reported By: Brad Douglas
