Updated: January 7, 2009
A candidate with strong family political ties drops out of the race. Don Mosbaugh has withdrawn from the August primary. He was running for the Western Commissioner in Jasper County. Mosbaugh says his brother, Jasper County Clerk Ron Mosbaugh had heard from voters that they didn`t like the idea of both holding county positions. Don says he didn`t want to affect his brother`s run for re-election in two years. Don previously served as Deputy Coroner under his brother. Reported By: Tiffany Alaniz
