Updated: January 7, 2009
Federal authorities are now involved in the investigation of a former Executive Director of the Joplin Boys and Girls club. Rob Clay is charged with embezzling an amount in eccess of 25-thousand dollars from the organization. Police say local charges could possibly be dropped if the case is handed over to the federal government. Lt. Carl Francis with the Joplin Police Department says cases like this need to be handled differently because of the amount of money involved. He is expected to be back in Jasper County Court May 13th and 9 a.m. Reported By: Ryan Loyd
