Bus Driver Charged

Misdemeanor charges are filed against a bus driver accused of endangering underage passengers. 45-year-old Marian Shoemaker of Pineville has been charged with 23 misdemeanor criminal charges stemming from a school bus incident on April 26th. Shoemaker is facing 20 counts of second-degree endangering a child, 2 counts of false imprisonment and one count of careless driving. The incident happened last month when Shoemaker allegedly slammed on the brakes of her school bus harming several of the children. Reports also say Shoemaker ordered some of the students off the bus. Shoemaker is still on paid suspension with the McDonald County School District. She is scheduled for court arraignment June 7th. Written By: Priscilla Mace
