Airport Could See Increased Security

The airport could see more increased security. As we told you yesterday, several airports across the state of Missouri will be assigned guard members to assist with airport security. Today, word that the Joplin Regional Airport may also be assigned a guard member. Airport manager Steve Stockam says the additional staff would be used to provide security personnel outside on the front side curb and in the parking lot. The new plan was introduced after president bush urged governors to call up guard units to protect U.S. airports.
