The director of a local medical clinic is arrested after she is accused of stealing. Community Clinic Director Nina Bruckner was arrested last Friday on accusations of stealing, but she says she`s not guilty. According to the Joplin Police Department Dillons Grocery store filed a complaint against Bruckner on May 7th. The complaint accused her of stealing several items from the store
"That`s what the accusation is, that she put several t-bone steaks in her purse as well as some film and left the store without paying,"said Comander Jim Hounchel, Joplin Police Department. Hounschell says dillons security gave Bruckner the opportunity to pay for the items first, but they say she proceeded outside the store and never paid for the items. We did contact Bruckner today who said she is not guilty, she says there are extenuating circumstances to the situation. She says City Prosecutor Dan Bagley has done extensive research and will not be filing charges. However Bagley told us today that he will be meeting with the City Attorney, and Dillons representatives tomorrow to determine whether charges will be filed against Bruckner. According to reports Dillons did not want to file charges until they had met with police.
