Charges are filed against a prominent four state community leader. Community Clinic Director Nina Brueckner was charged this afternoon in connection to a theft complaint filed last week. The Joplin Prosecuting Attorney has filed a petty theft charge against Brueckner. Officials at the City Prosecutor`s office say the action was taken after reviewing the facts and circumstances of the incident as well as a discussion with Dillion`s officials.
According to Joplin Police, Dillon`s Grocery Store filed a complaint against Brueckner last Friday. The complaint accused her of stealing several items from the store including several t-bone steaks and film.
According to Police reports this isn`t the first time Brueckner has been investigated by the police. The owner of Southside Antiques in Joplin says she also tried to buy merchandise by deceit from his store. Petty theft is punishable by a fine and could possibly include county jail time.
