Free Computers!

Updated: January 7, 2009
An area man is turning old computer parts into brand new computers for some four state students. Thomas Williams gave several computers away for the first time today. It`s a program he started in February called "Helping to Learn." Williams says it`s a great feeling to help students who cannot afford a new computer. Each system is assembled based on the amount of donated parts Williams receives. He says, "Computers used to be nothing, now everywhere you go its computer based programs." One students says, "I have trouble with science and i`m hoping this computer will really help me." Williams is taking names for people who would like a computer. If you`d like to sign up, call Williams at 918-542-4589. Right now he says he`s trying to furnish computers for pre-school to 12th grade students. But he will soon begin to take names for senior citizens or veterans who cannot afford a computer. Reported by: Ryan Loyd
