Carolyn VanDeven Retires

Carolyn VanDeven is retiring after 10 years with the Joplin School District and 35 years in education.She`s been the director of the curriculum for the past decade and became eligible for retirement this year. VanDeven`s last day will be in the next few weeks. She says she`s going to miss the people most of all. "The people wonderful people here. The school system is just a part of you that becomes like an extended family. And so I`ll very much miss all those relationships." VanDeven says she plans to spend her retirement traveling and just enjoying life. Reported By: Brad Douglas
