Day Of Healing

While some were learning about politics others were learning how to fight against a deadly disease. Thanks to the help of Freeman Health System Saturday was "a day of healing" for cancer survivors and their families. The event showed those who are battling the disease, different methods to of recovery. Participants got the chance to learn about the value of support groups, visualization for healing, art, writing, and other expressive therapies. The Freeman Screen Team was on hand to perform cholestoral, colorectal cancer, blood sugar, and psa screenings. More than 30 cancer survivors attended the event. Written By: Coutney Cullor
