Kids Asleep On The Bus

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Two children fall asleep on a local school bus and leave their parents worried. Two boys, a five year old and a seven year old, were left on two separate Joplin R-8 school buses. Both boys were able to make it home, but some didn`t make it home until 45 minutes later than usual. Assistant Superintendent Doug Domer says bus drivers are trained to double check for children who may fall asleep. The Joplin School District plans to have buses that will feature an alarm that sounds so the bus driver has to go to the back of the bus to check to see if any kids are left behind.
