Jail Death

A death in a local jail prompts a KBI investigation. 29-year-old Sandy Gibson of Baxter Springs died in her cell late Friday evening. Officers found Gibson unresponsive around 9:15 Friday night. Gibson was arrested by Baxter Springs police early Friday morning for disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing. An agent of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death. Her body was sent to Topeka for an autopsy. Written By: Kelli Baldwin
