For those who learn to read, the world is full of possibilities. That`s why a local political group is helping children get a jump-start on reading. Members of the Joplin Federated Republican Women`s Club made a generous donation to the Early Head Start program today. 80 books were given to the program, one for each child enrolled. The donation was part of President Bush`s, No Child Left Behind program.
