Joplin Man Sentenced to Prison for Identity Theft

56-year-old Wilks Sims pleaded guilty to trafficking stolen identities in December.
In exchange for his guilty plea, the Jasper County Prosecutor's Office lowered his sentence to five years.
Wilks was arrested in 2010 for having stolen documents.
Police found social security numbers, checking accounts andnd birth dates of 81 people at his home.
His case stemmed from his wife's 2010 arrest in connection to a Craig's List scam.
