Kansas Main Street Awards

Several Kansas Main Street cities are recognized for their accomplishments in revitalizing their downtown districts. The Chanute Main Street Program is recognized for its promotion of sunflowers on parade and the Independence Main Street is recognized for the Wild, Wild West fundraiser. Independence also received a Reinvestment Achievement Award. The awards were presented during a statewide Main Street Conference in Chanute.
