A class action lawsuit against a northeast Oklahoma cooperative is finally being settled. Jeff and Carol McCool of Miami, have accepted a $75,000 settlement for flood damage from the Grand River Dam Authority. Their settlement is the first of two test cases against the Vinita based cooperative. A class action lawsuit filed in 1994 seeks millions of dollars in damage from the G.R.D.A. More than 110 residents filed suit claiming flood damage to their Miami area homes in the late 1980`s and early 90`s.
