JOPLIN, MO -- Spiva Center for the Arts is holding their 3rd annual Discover Downtown 48 hour film competition this week.  There won't be much time for retakes, because people will only have 2 days to complete their film.  Competition Organizer Shaun Conroy says there's a few twists people should know.  "I'll give them a phrase they have to use, a location they have to use, and a prop they have to use."  Which has to be incorporated in the film Conroy says.  "And they have 48 hours to write, edit, make the film, and then turn it in at Spiva."

People must show up at Spiva on Thursday, May 3rd at 6 P.M. in order to receive the secret instructions.  And the film must be turned in no later than Saturday, May 5th at 6 P.M..
