NEVADA, MO -- A five-day training class will teach area law enforcement how to deal with child abductions

Every 40 seconds a child becomes missing or is abducted.

The Nevada Police Department is hosting an FBI class to combat this problem.

The class will teach officers how to deal with these cases quickly and effectively.

Nevada officers say they want the department to become a training hub for other agencies.

"I think it's going to be a great think for our community because we are going to law enforcement agencies surrounding us maybe from other states come to this class," Detective Jeff Baker Nevada Police Department says.

The nevada police department is still accepting registration from other agencies.

They are accepting up to 50 officers.
