JOPLIN, MO - Joplin is known for many things and a city organization wants "friendliness" to be one of them. The Convention and Visitors Bureau wants everyone to vote in USA Today's best small towns in America contest.
Other cities competing for the title are Denton, Texas and Franklin, Tennessee. Many people have visited Joplin this past year and have commented on how welcoming people are, so the CVB needs your help making it known nationwide.
"We think it would be a great opportunity to showcase something other than what we have been experiencing in the last year," said Martha Getz, with the Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau. "This is a chance to really let everyone know we're here and we are an amazing community," Getz added.
