Asphalt Paving Scam in the Four States

BARTON COUNTY-

A group of seven men have been posing as an asphalt company by the name of Asphalt Paving.

So far they have scammed $30,000 from area families.

They are charging a large amount of money for a half inch to an inch of asphalt on a resident's driveway.

One employee of the company is in custody for financial exploitation of the eldery.

Officers believe the men are from the Pine Bluff area in Arkansas or Spiro, Oklahoma.

They believe the group is targeting older residents.

Barton County Sheriff Mitchell Shaw, "My whole obligation here is to let the citizens know not to be a victim and to really know who the people are that are working on their property."

The Barton County Sheriff's Office wants residents to contact law enforcement if they feel they've been scammed by this group.
