This will make it easier for students who obtain an associate's degree from OTC to transfer to Missouri Southern and complete their bachelors degree. In the past MSSU would evaluate each OTC class individually, to determine which courses the school would accept credit for. This new agreement will help streamline that process; and the most appealing part is that it's all online.
"There's a real cost effectiveness here," said Dr. Bruce Speck, MSSU President. "The students don't have to move here they can stay where they are. Taking the courses all online will be very helpful for them," he added.
The agreement was put into effect immediately. The first transfer students can begin classes in the fall.
