PITTSBURG, KS -- Governor Sam Brownback offers recent graduates incentives in a plan to help the Kansas economy grow.

The state designated 50 counties as "Rural Opportunity Zones."

Recent Kansas college graduates who decide to move to one of those areas are offered financial advantages.

The first would waive state income taxes for out of state students for up to five years.

Another incentive would defer student loan payments for up to five years if the total is less than $15,000.
