JOPLIN, MO-- Damaged businesses and homes hit by tornado have been cleared off 20th Street... but a year later, few buildings have been replaced. There are a few homes and several businesses are up and running. Optical Outlet was among the first, along with a dentist's office, podiatrist clinic and the brand new game time sports.

Businesswoman Pam Lockwood says she'd like more retail shops like hers. "I think it would be nice to put a lot more individual businesses like myself here. I think it's a very busy street - I just think that would be a good idea."

And big projects will soon kick off on 20th, including a new apartment buildings and the $104 million rebuild of Joplin High School and Franklin Tech.
