STELLA, MO---The Stella Veterans' Ceremony took place at the city's Veteran's Memorial with speeches by former soldiers and state officials. Organizers also unveiled a new six foot cross statue, which was donated to the park by Clark Funeral Homes. The monumental gift is to replace a former memorial cross that was destroyed by vandals last November. Organizers say the veterans committee has received many donations since the former cross was destroyed, including numerous fundraisers held by Triway schools.
