NOEL, MO--- Carson Adamson, owner and operator of Shady Beach, has wanted to bring a zip line to the area for years. This weekend his dream came true with hundreds of people lining up to try it out. Two five-story towers were built on each side of Elk River, with two 800 foot wires running between them. For $25, you can harness up and fly 50 feet above the water.
The breath taking ride lasts around one minute and twenty seconds to get across the river and back. Shady Beach has two certified operators who run the zip line and they say so far, all of the riders have been pleased. Riders must weigh at least 90 pounds and less than 350. Adamson says this is the first of many projects to come at Shady Beach.
