Highway officials in Kansas and Missouri are asking for motorists today to put the brakes on fatalities. Each year there are more than 40,000 traffic related deaths. Today, highway officials ask you to help keep the numbers down by taking extra precaution when you drive. First drive courteously and defensively, know the rules of the road, wear your seat belt and if you ride a motorcycle, wear your helmet. Don`t speed or drive aggressively and finally, don`t drink and drive.
