AFTON, OK -- Project Appleseed Shoot Boss Daniel Hensch says the group hopes to accomplish two things with their weekend outings. First, he says, to make people good marksmen. Second is to teach people about the role riflemen have played in the development of the country. "We think it's pretty intertwined with our heritage of liberty." Hensch explains. "And to the extent that if we lose the heritage of marksmanship, we're losing part of that heritage of liberty."

Hensch says more than 20,000 people across the country attended the courses last year. If you would like more information on the group, or to find out when their next event is, click on the link below.
