Daycare Reopens After Busy Year

JOPLIN, MO - Wee Tots Daycare reopens after spending a year trying to recover from last years tornado. The Joplin childcare center celebrated it's grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting this afternoon. The center now offers more space, updated equipment, and a safe room.

Owners have rebuilt the business in the same location at 23rd and Moffet. Instead of moving to a temporary facility, daycare staff spent the last year buying new equipment and healing while the new center was being built.

"Its made me stronger, knowing what I want this time, says Owner Marye Lallemand. We were good before but we are going to come back bigger and better than what we were before," Lallemand added.

There are currently 10 students enrolled in Wee Tots but they can accommodate 44.
