JOPLIN, MO -- She will take the vacated seat of Ashley Mickelthwaite who resigned from her post last month. Joplin School Board President Randy Steele says Sticklen stood out as a candidate because of her work with the Vote Hope committee. But, he says, it was a very tough decision between the four candidates for the job. "it's wonderful to be a part of a community that people want to step up to the plate, and be a part of this district." Steele explains. "It was a hard decision to make."
Sticklen will be sworn on at the next school board meeting on June 26th.
