breaking news
JOPLIN, MO.--- Two ladies from Edwardsville, Illinois call themselves the "Illinois Angels", and their goal is to help animal shelters effected by disasters. Today they dropped off more than $6,000 of pet supplies to the Animal Adoption and Resource Center in Joplin. Organizers say their entire town wanted to help the animals impacted by the storm. "This area is really close to where we come from, we're only 6 hours from here. We wanted to come so our community pitched in and we brought a lot of supplies," says Jenny Hays, of the Illinois Angels. This is the groups 2nd trip to the area to volunteer and drop off supplies at the center.
