Neosho Sales Tax Revenue

By: Eric Crosswhite
Updated: June 27, 2012
NEOSHO, MO--- Revenue numbers have surpassed projections every month since October. Last month, the city received fourteen percent more than May of last year, an extra $30,000 for the city. Neosho officials have attributed the difference to the May 22nd tornado in Joplin, when more people started shopping in Neosho. Having the extra funds has allowed the city to hold a Celebrate Neosho festival on Saturday. Officials are hoping this will also bring outsiders and add to this month's sales tax revenue.
