Two Fire Fighters Treated for Heat Exhaustion After Mobile Home Fire in Rural Baxter Springs

BAXTER SPRINGS, KS---The blaze started at a mobile home near 100th Road and 166 Highway around 3 this afternoon.  The Baxter Springs fire chief says the fire started on the front porch from electircal wires.  The flames destroyed the mobile home and spread to another one, also destroying it.  A worker in the area heard calls for help and was able to get a woman and toddler to safety.  Two fire fighters were treated for heat exhaustion at the scene.
